    Amazon CEO Mandates Employees Return to Office 5 Days a Week

    Amazon CEO Andy Jassy made a case — and a mandate — for in-office work on Monday.

    In a publicly available message, Jassy stated that Amazon’s 1.5 million-plus employees should return to the workplace 5 days per week beginning January 2. Amazon can be bringing again desk assignments to the workplaces that had that construction pre-pandemic.

    Jassy positioned the transfer as a greater option to work and a return to life earlier than Covid.

    “We have noticed that it is simpler for our teammates to be taught, mannequin, follow, and strengthen our tradition; collaborating, brainstorming, and inventing are easier and more practical; educating and studying from each other are extra seamless; and, groups are usually higher linked to at least one one other,” Jassy said.
